Business Analyst Lead

Position Description :

The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver. In this role, as a Business Analyst Lead, you will leverage your expertise to tackle organizational information challenges.

Utilizing your critical thinking abilities, you will identify client requirements and translate them into detailed instructions for your development team to implement.

Additionally, the candidate must also has possess strong writing and communication skills, a capacity to grasp technical concepts, and the ability to cultivate relationships with team members and clients.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

Gather, develop, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements. o Interact with business analysts and solution developers to communicate and validate requirements.

o Serve as a Scrum Master and Lead Business Analyst. o Facilitate client meetings, agile ceremonies, and requirements gathering with clients and various project stakeholders.

o Lead development and functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet defined deliverable quality and milestones.

o Prioritize backlog / scrum boards, including Production issues. o Develop and QA JIRA tickets and wireframes. o Evaluate new and existing software products and facilitate technical solutions with the team.

o Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts, including analysis, reports, and user documentation. o Perform functional and integrated testing and verify application deployments in pre-production and production environments.

o Work with project managers, developers, clients, and end-users to ensure application design meets business requirements.

o Assist all phases of software systems programming applications. o Prepare and / or review meeting minutes to be distributed to a variety of audience.

o Author user stories, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

Bachelors degree in a related field of study. o 4+ years’ work experience as an analyst on a software development team. o Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

o Experience leading cross-functional teams to successful project completion. o Proficiency in Agile software development life cycle.

o Ability to adhere to deliver on agreed upon timelines. o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

o Excellent organization and time management skills. o Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide team members to project success.

Experience using Atlassian tools, e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc. o Agile / Scrum certifications and training. o Government consulting experience.
