Job Description : Senior Level 2+ IT Technician (MSP Background)
Company Overview : We are a rapidly growing IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) company based in Lakewood NJ and Brooklyn NY.
Our company specializes in providing comprehensive IT solutions and support to a diverse range of clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Level 2 IT Technician to join our dedicated team with the incredible opportunity for growth.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Handle escalated technical requests that Level 1 technicians were unable to resolve, ensuring prompt and effective solutions for clients.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, leveraging your IT / MSP background to provide expertise and guidance to junior technicians.
- Demonstrate proficiency in server administration, including DNS management, ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of clients' server infrastructure.
- Utilize your experience with AVD, Intune and Azure to effectively manage and maintain clients' cloud-based solutions, ensuring proper integration and security.
- Possess a sense of urgency when dealing with critical client technical matters, prioritizing and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Demonstrate exceptional troubleshooting skills, investigating and resolving complex network and server issues, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Log in to firewalls, switches, and other network devices to perform necessary configuration and troubleshooting tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the team based out of the Lakewood office, actively participating in knowledge sharing, training, and mentoring to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Exhibit a strong dedication to teamwork, readily assisting colleagues and clients as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, both in-person and when communicating remotely with clients, promoting excellent customer service and client satisfaction.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications and Skills :
- At least 4 years of experience as an IT Technician, preferably in an MSP environment.
- Solid background in dealing with escalated technical requests and providing Level 2 support.
- Strong familiarity with server administration, including DNS management.
- Proven experience with Intune and Azure, demonstrating expertise in managing cloud-based solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and handle critical client technical matters with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent troubleshooting instincts and the ability to identify and resolve network and server issues.
- Proficiency in logging in to firewalls, switches, and other network devices for configuration and troubleshooting purposes.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, promoting excellent customer service.
- Dedication to professional growth and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Salary and Benefits : The salary for this position is in the range of $75,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
