What will you do?

A day in the life of a the Altra Global Creative Director looks like this :

In this role, you will be leading the overall brand voice and creative content for Altra Running both internally and externally.

You are responsible for managing and providing leadership to the internal Creative Team, identifying and leveraging external creative partners, and being the voice of the brand across the organization.

This role partners with cross-functional leaders to meet creative, marketing, brand, and business objectives. Core areas of responsibility include brand messaging and product storytelling, which is applied to everything from brand campaign to consumer moments to paid and organic media to retail communications.

The Creative Director will lead the team to deliver big ideas, provide strategic perspective to the creative process, and act as an evangelist for untamed, disruptive, modern, consumer-centric, and on-brand creative.

This leader will ensure the creative team is a high performing team including matching the staff and skills, process, and collaborative approach to the agile environment of a fast-growing, global brand.

The role reports to the Sr. Director of Global Marketing.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

Be the voice of the brand across Altra Running. Continuously promote and evolve the Brand Style Guide to ensure one global brand, adapted to regional and channel requirements.

Develop and lead a high performing team including ensuring collaboration, understanding of run culture and our consumer, identification and development of talent that meets the business needs and grows individuals.

Lead on-brand, disruptive work across a broad array of areas including brand campaigns, integrated consumer ideas, integrated product marketing / launches, paid and owned digital media, retail, wholesale fixturing and POP, and web design.

Lead an agile, positive, and collaborative team culture infused with a growth mindset.

Lead the team with understanding of the entire consumer journey, inclusive of all experiences, and ensure the creative team is creating and disrupting, while also editing and simplifying process, deliverables.

Share best practices and innovative creative solutions from the competitive landscape with a continuous pulse on current trends and noteworthy activities

Identify and set the right structure and internal creative process to meet the needs of the business, channels, and required agility.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 10+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are :

Minimum of 10 years of creative leadership experience, with a focus on consumer-centric disruptive ideas and actions, premium design, and relevant content in premium consumer and e-commerce environments

Minimum of 5 years of people management within creative, agency, or studio environments

Demonstrated expertise in brand campaigns, integrated consumer ideas, integrated product marketing / launches, paid and owned digital media, retail, wholesale fixturing and POP, and web design.

Expertise in identifying the right internal talent, identifying and managing external partners, agencies, and freelancers.

Able to juggle multiple, and sometimes, conflicting priorities and needs, and able to help the team align effort to the most strategic work.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills

A positive, self-driven, passionate attitude.

Location requirement : This role is a hybrid role located in Denver, in office at least 3 days a week.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

A global mind-set with a keen interest to help grow the Altra brand globally

Experience in a premium category, delivery of aspirational creative, and delivery of consideration and conversion-oriented product messaging.

Experience creating or reinventing a brand look, tone, design guidelines.

Hiring Range : $161,568.00 USD - $201,960.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
