Underground Mine Surveyor

Genesis Minerals are currently seeking an Underground Mine Surveyor to join our professional Mining team at the Gwalia operations near Leonora, WA.

This is a permanent FIFO role on a balanced 8 days on, 6 days off roster cycle, flying on company time to and from Perth.

You also have the option to Drive-In Drive-Out from Kalgoorlie.

Our Underground Surveyor is an important member of our Mining team and the successful candidate will maintain survey control over the development and stoping activities of the Gwalia mine.

Currently the Site Survey team are using exciting underground Drone "Emesent Hovermap" technology.

The opportunity

• Conducting survey pickups, CMS and scans for the development of as-built data for development, production advance, and reported volumes;
• Completing high order survey control set outs for production drills, raise bores, and jumbo development to minimise over break;
• Maintaining the upkeep of survey equipment and survey processes for reporting, logging, and archiving of survey data;
• Installing survey control stations to industry best practice methods, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements; and
• Producing survey plans for mining and safety activities.

We would love to hear from you if you have

• Diploma in Mine Surveying (minimum) or equivalent;
• Underground mine survey experience.
• Strong computer skills with competency in the programs Deswik CAD and Pix4D;
• Experience in the safe use of Optec V400 CMS;
• Familiarity with the use of Leica TS15, MS60 Total Stations;
• Familiarity with the use of Leica GPS GS16;
