Linux Engineer

Job Responsibilities :
- Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) level support and guidance to 1st and 2nd tier Linux administrators.
- Maintain and operate Red Hat OpenStack infrastructure, as well as Ceph storage infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Ansible automations.
- Advise on and perform security hardening of systems using DISA STIGs and other best practice security guidelines.
Required Skills :
- 10+ years of professional experience in building, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux-based IT systems.
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with Ansible for deploying, maintaining, and updating systems.
- 3 to 5 years of experience administering OpenStack.
Desired Skills :
- RHCSA or RHCE certification.
- Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate and solve recurring tasks.
- Comfortable working with mission-critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities.
- Ability to address and resolve information technology issues promptly, effectively, and independently.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with hardware tasks (e.g., racking, troubleshooting, swapping components).
