Shipping Associate - AerospaceOverview
The Shipping Associate plays a crucial role in the aerospace industry by ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of goods and parts.
They are responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and processing shipments in compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and parts for shipment
- Prepare and package items for domestic and international shipping
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule and track shipments
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, and unload materials
- Ensure compliance with shipping and export regulations
- Perform inventory management and maintain accurate records of shipments
- Conduct quality control checks and address any discrepancies
- Assist in the resolution of shipping-related issues and discrepancies
- Collaborate with other teams to optimize shipping processes and efficiency
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols while handling materials
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in aerospace or manufacturing shipping preferred
- Understanding of shipping regulations and documentation in the aerospace industry
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
