We are currently partnered up with a Manufacturing Company in their search to have a Safety Manager join their 100+ employee plant in Rhode Island.

The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

This role involves conducting regular safety audits, training employees on safety practices, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Description

The Safety Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to the manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risk, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update safety records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations, refresher courses, and specific safety topics.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and facilitate regular meetings to discuss safety concerns and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related matters and liaise with regulatory agencies as necessary.

Profile

The Safety Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety management software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Job Offer

The Safety Manager - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following :

  • Base Salary of $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience
