Description
The Safety Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies tailored to the manufacturing environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards, assess risk, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and update safety records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and conduct safety training sessions for employees, including new hire orientations, refresher courses, and specific safety topics.
- Lead the Safety Committee and facilitate regular meetings to discuss safety concerns and initiatives.
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
- Serve as the point of contact for all safety-related matters and liaise with regulatory agencies as necessary.
Profile
The Safety Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following :
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety management software.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Job Offer
The Safety Manager - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following :
- Base Salary of $100,000-$130,000 depending on experience
