We are offering an opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk to join our team in the Construction / Contractor industry in Troy, Michigan.
As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for executing various tasks related to data entry and vendor management. This role calls for an individual who is tech-savvy and possesses strong analytical skills.
This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
- Maintain up-to-date and precise customer credit records
- Review and enter data for multiple vendors / suppliers, including W9's and 1099's
- Test W9's on a website for correct information and make necessary updates
- Communicate with vendors as needed for updated information
- Stay engaged in data analysis throughout the day to identify and rectify issues
- Use Microsoft Office, Excel Spreadsheets, MS Teams, and Outlook to manage, filter, sort, and find data
- Learn and use VLOOKUPs / pivots in Excel to manage large datasets
- Handle additional data-driven tasks as requested
- Assist with other projects or daily tasks within the department as needed.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role or field.
- Proficient in Data Entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP.
- Capable of conducting effective Internet Searching.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Must be capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in the Construction / Contractor industry is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the country where the job is located.
