Overview
Assistant Staff Scientist will be responsible for developing a research program within the field of novel fluorophore chemistry.
This position has the sole responsibility for the development of novel near infrared fluorophores and their testing. The position requires a high level of skill in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, analytical characterization and physiochemical property characterization of novel small molecules.
This position will also require routine survey and reporting of the fluorophore literature to ensure novel fluorophore development and generation of new synthetic ideas.
This position will also require manuscript writing and editing as well as aiding in the development of grant materials. This position will provide senior-level scientific services and guidance to the laboratory including training and mentoring other laboratory members, interacting with collaborators and management of the synthetic organic chemistry equipment and supply chain.
This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and other related responsibilities will be added as appropriate.
