Nagy Family Dental Group is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our professional family.

As we continue to grow and enhance the oral health services in our community, we are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist who is passionate about providing exceptional dental care.

This is a full-time position that requires a proactive approach and a commitment to patient care. Please note, this vacancy is not a remote position;

all duties will be performed onsite at our well-equipped facility.

The candidate will be instrumental in fostering a welcoming, friendly environment where patients feel comfortable and assured of receiving the best possible dental care.

This role demands someone who can consistently ensure high standards of dental hygiene practices and patient management are maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for oral exams.
• Provide routine preventive dental services, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to help prevent gum disease and promote oral health.
• Carry out periodontal therapy which may include deep scaling, root planting, and educating patients on the proper oral hygiene strategies tailored to their needs.
• Apply preventive materials to the teeth such as sealants and fluorides to protect teeth from decay.
• Examine gums, using probes, to identify periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease and communicate findings to dentists.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) to help detect abnormalities.
• Document treatment plans and care performed by updating and maintaining patient dental records.
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
• Assess the oral condition of patients to provide feedback and tailored dietary advice alongside oral health education.
• Participate in the assessment of oral health conditions, review of health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse.
• Assist dentists in decision-making for treatment plans by providing best practice input in patient oral health care.
• Manage emergency dental cases promptly and effectively to reduce patient discomfort and enhance recovery.

Requirements

• Current RDH license required.
• Valid X-ray certificate to perform dental radiography tasks.
• CPR & first aid certification necessary for emergencies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members.
• Strong detail orientation necessary to adhere to dental protocol and procedures.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene, or similar, from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in a dental clinic setting preferred but not mandatory for candidates with strong educational qualifications.
• Proficiency in using dental management software is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills required to educate patients on dental care strategies and handle sensitive cases tactfully.
• Strong commitment to health & safety regulations to ensure the practice operates to high standards.
• Ability and willingness to adopt new techniques and technologies within the dental field.
