Experience in processing invoices, accounts receivable, and timesheets is highly desirable.
This position requires attendance at evening Planning Commission meetings on Wednesdays twice a month and is provided an additional 5% assignment pay as compensation for this requirement.

Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Graduation from high school or equivalent is required, preferably supplemented by courses or training in areas of specialization.
Experience : At least 5 full-time years of increasingly responsible administrative or secretarial support experience. Previous public sector experience is highly desirable.
License / Certificate Requirements : Due to the performance of some field duties, which may require the operation of a personal or City vehicle, a valid California Driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required.
This recruitment may be used to fill other vacancies for Administrative Assistant positions. There is currently a vacancy in the Community Development Department.

This recruitment will be used to establish an Eligibility List and may be used to fill vacancies within departments across the City.
