Job Summary :
Bullard, a leading provider of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), has an immediate opening for a Compliance Specialist.
As a member of the Bullard Compliance Team, the Compliance Specialist will focus on technical documentation coordination, product compliance specifications, and certifications.
The position will work closely with internal cross-functional product development teams and external third-party test labs and regulatory agencies to ensure global PPE regulatory certifications are obtained as per the project schedule.
Essential Functions :
- internal pre-compliance testing and prepares laboratory test reports as well as other detailed applications and technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Fire and Head Protection portfolios as an entrance to Bullard’s compliance processes.
- able to consult with internal teams and advise on electrical / electronic designs and lead in electronic component construction reviews from a materials compliance perspective.
- in coordinating global PPE certification activities with regulatory agencies and third-party test laboratories.
- and prepare test samples for third-party lab testing and certification.
- and upload supplier data sheets into software to analyze materials for compliance and communicate findings with cross functional teams.
- a working knowledge of the requirements for global regulatory certification for Bullard products including international PPE performance standards and regulatory agency requirements.
- compliance documentation repository including storage, tracking and maintenance of all test reports, certificates, compliance engineering data and submission documentation.
- requests, both internal and external, for public-facing compliance documentation.
- processing, and tracking of purchase orders and invoices for the compliance group.

Skills / Abilities :
- management experience preferred
- researching and sorting archived data and information
- with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- attention to detail and organizational skills
- in reading, interpretation and writing of technical documentation
- to clearly communicate with internal and external customers
- to work in a fast-paced product development environment
- to maintain composure and deliver results within time constraints.
- domestic and international travel required (
- to work primarily in Lexington, KY with the flexibility to travel to Cynthiana, KY
Education and Experience :
- in Science, Automotive, Research, Data Analytics or similar
- degree preferred or equivalent experience
- not required, Veteran experience welcomed
Physical Requirements :
- to lift 50 pounds
- to perform work at a desk for long periods of time
- to lift, bend, twist, push, and pull for packaging
