Forming Operator
SAFETY :
- Understand and follow all safety procedures
- Current on all safety trainings
- Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
- Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
- Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
- Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
TECHNICAL SKILLS :
- Adjust sensor to ensure proper operation
- Inspect wires, sheet end cutter for build-up, vacuum systems to track position to ensure proper function.
- Clean pipes, conveyor belts, line rollers, forming pit, trenches and grates.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
- Clean forming and press felt by using HCL and proper rinsing techniques
- Check rollers for moisture
- Pump out the water from the Pulpier and BC conveyor pits by using the gas diaphragm pump
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE :
- Gas diaphragm pump
- Pulpier
- BC Conveyor
- Forklift
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
- Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
