Tasks & Duties (What you'll do)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or sketches to understand project specifications
Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
Cut, shape, and smooth lumber according to measurements
Build shipping boxes, by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
Safely use tools such as nail gun and electrical saws
Operate reach forklift or ability to learn
Also assist in warehouse shipping and receiving
Comply with all company safety guidelines
Shift Info
Day Shift, 07 : 00am to 3 : 30pm
Monday - Friday
Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
Wood Worker experience required
2-3 Years Experience (NO job hopping over last 5 years)
Shipping and receiving experience required
Reach forklift operator experience a plus
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass a background check
Able to work in the US
Completion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship preferred
Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
