JobSummary

New York State Homes and Community Renewal isundergoing a major

modernization of their businessapplications and is seeking a Data Warehouse

Developer(Developer) within their Information Technology department to playa

key role in this effort which will include designingand building an enterprise data

warehouse.

The Developer must have extensive experience in software analysisdesign

development implementation and maintenance ofData Warehouse / Data Marts.

The Developer will workclosely with project managers IT staff program staff and

other stakeholders to define and develop requirements for theenterprise data

warehouse. The Developer will apply arange of specialized skills and tools to

complete thefollowing specific duties and responsibilities :

TheDeveloper will use their extensive knowledge of business analysisbest

practices to facilitate requirements sessions andcommunicate clearly and

effectively with endusersapplications developers senior business managers and

other team members. The Developer will be accountable forproviding

coordination to ensure the appropriatecollection of data; documentation of

information; andpresentation of findings. The Developer will provide

documentation and flowcharts of the organizations workflow as wellas adhoc

query support and report creation.

The Developer must have strong technical knowledge andunderstanding of IT

systems and applications as well asthe ability to plan and track business

analyses activities as part of a project. The Developeralso must have good

listening skills and interviewingskills to talk with individuals and groups about

theirneeds and ask the right questions to surface essentialrequirements

information. The ideal candidate will alsopossess good writing skills to ensure

effectivecommunication of information to customers marketing managersand

technical staff.

The Developer willreport directly to the CIO and indirectly to the VP /

Application Development Manager and will play a vital role inhelping HCR fulfil

its strategic analytical andoperational reporting requirements. The ideal

candidatewill demonstrate critical thinking skills when solving problemsand

making recommendations for new solutions.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to) :

Extensiveexperience in architecting and designing solutions at Enterprisescale in

Enterprise Data warehouseapplications.

Experience in developing DataWarehouse / Data Marts using as examples OBIEE

OBI APPSCognos Business Objects SPSS SSIS SSRS Informatica PowerCenter

OWB and ODI.

Experience on design anddevelopment of Data Warehouse Architecture for

Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Operational data Store (ODS)Operational

Data Marts and Data Marts.

Experience in defining metadata standards for the enterprise datawarehouse.

Experience in design and developmentof :

oETL processes using Dimensional Modeling for ROLAPand MOLAP.

oETL technical architecture.

oBIload dependency plan job scheduling and cyclemanagement.

Experience in developing endtoend Datawarehouse ETL routines.

Experience in using SQL inadvanced analytical functions.

Experience in writingcomplex PL / SQL packages stored Procedures functions

cursors triggers views and materialized views.

Experience in creation of enterprise data Warehouse Test plan Testscript creation

and Test Script Execution for differenttest environments such as System

Integration and UserAcceptance.

Experience developing optimal approach forobtaining data from diverse source

system platforms andmoving it to the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Experiencein Logical and Physical data Models for enterprise data warehouseand

applications.

Experience developing andconfiguring Interactive Dashboards with drilldown

capabilities links / images HTML objects and folders.

Proficient in using the timeseries functions to support historicaltime comparison

analysis.

Experience withCalculated Measures and assigned Aggregation levels basedon

Dimension Hierarchies.

Qualifications :

Bachelors degree; MBA or relevanttechnical degree preferred.

A strong background intechnology analysis and critically evaluating

information gathered from multiple sources.

Experiencedecomposing highlevel information into detailsdistinguishing

user requests from the underlying trueneeds and developing solution ideas f

romrequirements.

Strong experience writing businessrequirements documentation (BRDs) and

functionalrequirements documentation (FRDs).

Proven experiencesuccessfully working in a team setting and ability to

reconcile conflicts.

Minimum seven 710 years ofexperience in related professional

business / projectanalyst capacity.

Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.

Experience in the housing andfinancial sector is preferred and a major plus

especially around accounting bonds mortgages underwritingloans

origination and servicing; in addition toexperience around grants tax credits

property / buildingsasset management and compliance reporting.

Excellentexperience with MS Office 2013 / 2016 and above as well asdesign

tools and flowcharting tools e.g.Visio.
