JOB DESCRIPTION
Ability to review, analyze and document technical and business process and workflow for the purpose of creating and documenting requirements to be used for new or optimization of software or business process and strategy.
Requires a bachelors degree in computer science or related field and 7+ years of relevant experience. Should have knowledge of Software Development and IT related concepts as it relates to analysis, requirements gathering and documentation.
Should have the ability to work independently, meet with users, document existing process, make intelligent inquisitions and create detailed documents according to best practices and standards.
Experience with Digital Applications, Digital Transformations, LC / NC Software preferred; knowledge of Insurance, Annuity application and new business processing would be a plus.
Functional Responsibilities
Serves as a liaison between the business or functional community and the Technology organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Assist in the process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology solutions
Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicate tradeoffs to business partners and work with them to shape requirements accordingly
Create and translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications and integration requirements for Technology and manage changes to such specifications;
Ensure requirements are understood by configuration, development, integration and testing teams
Support the product owner in the development of the product backlog
Elaborate story acceptance criteria, in consultation with the product owner, to ensure that it demonstrates the business need and stated business value can be realized
Partner with QA / UAT to design optimal test coverage based on acceptance criteria, business impact, and technical risk
Participate in architecture and code reviews; Review the functionality after the developer has completed coding to ensure that the functionality meets the acceptance criteria
