JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title : Second Engineer with License over 3000KW (III / 2)
Vessel Type : Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS)
Operation Area : Arabian Sea and Gulf
Contract Duration : 60 days

Key Responsibilities :
- Maintenance and Operation : Supervise and participate in the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems onboard, ensuring they are operational and meet safety and environmental standards.
- Safety and Compliance : Implement and monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and drills, ensuring all engineering practices adhere to international maritime laws and conventions.
- Emergency Response : Act as a key member of the emergency response team, ready to manage or support engineering-related incidents onboard.
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of engineering department activities, including but not limited to maintenance and repair logs, inventory of spare parts and supplies, and fuel and oil consumption.
- Team Management : Assist in leading and managing the engineering team, promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and engine room crew.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the Chief Engineer and other department heads to ensure the vessel's operational efficiency.
Participate in planning and executing onboard operations, including loading, discharging, and maneuvering.
Technical Support : Provide technical expertise and support to the vessel's crew, ensuring all onboard operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS
- Certification : Valid Second Engineer License (III / 2) with unlimited power.
- Experience : Significant experience as a Second Engineer on similar vessels, preferably with experience in towing operations.
- Knowledge : Familiarity with the operational and safety requirements of tug boat towing operations in the Arabian Sea and Gulf.
- Physical Fitness : Capability to perform duties under physically demanding maritime conditions.
