Intralox LLC, a division of Laitram LLC, has a position available for a Test Engineer who will work in our New Orleans office to support our Technical Support team within the new product development department in the creation of innovative, high-value solutions for challenging real-world problems.
This test engineer will be responsible for assisting with the design of test plans, execute test plans, provide documented data to the engineering team to validate that our products can be properly utilized in our customer’s plants for years to come.

Responsibilities :
- Define or validate test scope by identifying the information and results required to make design decisions and / or evaluate product, component, or material performance.
- Interface with design and analysis engineers to develop or validate test plans and test data requirements.
- Execute or oversee tests ensuring they follow the test plan, utilize appropriate test methods, tools, and equipment, and are conducted safely and efficiently.
- Collect test data and document results in a test report.
- Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve the testing process, test tools, and testing methodologies to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain workshop and test areas to ensure they are clean and organized.
- Provide training to technicians and engineers on the operation of test equipment.
- Assist in the test equipment development process.
Requirements :
- Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitudes.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and operate equipment user interface software.
- Familiarity with various material, component, and system-level testing techniques preferred.
- Self-managed, team player able to complete assigned priorities without supervision.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely and work standing up for an extended period in an unconditioned warehouse.
