Job Description :
Regional Inventory Coordinator
Performs highly complex (senior-level) inventory and stock work. Work involves overseeing asset management operations and maintaining asset inventory records and physical inventories.
Responsible for generating reports reflecting items on hand. Responsible for conducting periodic inventory reviews and training, supervising and / or conducting annual inventory.
Ensures an efficient system of asset management and control and recommends improvements needed. Locates surplus items and conducts investigations on lost property.
Disposes of surplus property. Prepare purchase requisitions for restocking inventory and verify the receipt of inventory or shipments.
Monitors inventory and stock control records following loss prevention and agency guidelines. Responsible for fleet management.
Supervises the work of others. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Work involves coordinating and overseeing warehouse operations. Serves as a member of the Regional Disaster Deployment Team in delivering, setting up and monitoring emergency equipment to areas designated by supervisor.
Able to work in various environments outside and inside. Essential Job Functions :
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy. Oversees asset management operations and maintains property inventory records.
Processes appropriate inventory forms as needed for transfer of assets, lost or stolen assets, and surplus, obsolete or damaged property. (30%)
Coordinates the activities necessary to perform at least quarterly spot checks and annual physical inventory of tagged assets.
Trains and provides guidance throughout the process to ensure that the inventory activities are carried out in accordance with regional guidelines and the Asset Management policy and procedures. (15%)
Maintains a current and accurate inventory of the Region's physical inventory to ensure that there are adequate quantities on hand to respond to requests from Enterprise customers.
Quantities that exceed needed levels should be disposed in accordance with the Asset Management policy and procedures. (10%)
Conducts assessment to confirm that items meet the criteria for salvage / destruction. Coordinates disposal of the salvage / obsolete items in accordance with the Asset Management policies and procedures. (10%)
Responsible for entry and reviewing fleet report system as well as monitoring and maintaining state vehicles to ensure that they meet the proper standards for operation both mechanically and cosmetically. (10%)

Plans and provides storage for items that have a seasonal / temporary use, locates surplus items and conducts investigations on lost property items. (5%)
Provides assistance to Enterprise-IT divisions coordinate special projects, i.e. computer refresh, removal of leased equipment, etc. (5%)
Knowledge Skills Abilities :
Knowledge of inventory and receiving procedures.
Knowledge of standard warehouse procedures including safety.
Skill in the use of standard agency computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to operate warehousing equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, dolly, etc.
Ability to travel locally and across the state which may include overnight stays.
