JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with the oversight of the company’s general ledger and accounting operations including a focus on managing tax compliance and sales tax filings.
Individual will assume ownership of assigned duties and task within the accounting team, displaying initiative, analysis, and problem-solving skills;
improving and maintaining the value of financial data and working with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of monthly and annual financial information.
Responsibilities :
- File taxes in various states, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Handle sales and use, keeping track of all transactions.
- Oversee tax compliance projects, coordinating with various departments for efficient execution.
- Maintains integrity of general ledger and performs monthly reviews and reconciliations on assigned ledger accounts.
- Records monthly accounting entries related to accruals and deferrals.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other staff and management team.
- Help management team with ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding client and company financial information.
- Build and maintain positive customer focused relationships with the operations team.
- Other duties may be assigned.
