In this Technical Sales Specialist role, you will be responsible for the growth of revenue by selling scientific instruments and services in the territory.

The portfolio includes our Biologics technical products : iQue3 and Octet. You will be responsible for finding and developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy.

Sartorius is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to join our growing team in the bay area- covering primarily the East Bay Area (other areas of the geography include NV).

Candidate must be based in the bay area.

What you will accomplish together with us :

  • Your responsibilities include achieving sales and profit goals within a region.
  • You will promote and sell the organization's scientific instruments and service within the assigned East Bay and NV region, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue target.
  • In this role, you will maintain and expand customer base to include key customers and identifying new customer opportunities.
  • You will work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
  • One of your duties will be to coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory.
  • You will manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership.
  • Your duties include managing weekly field activities to generate and close opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • You will provide weekly updates of quarterly and yearly forecast models.
  • Management of CRM data input and weekly metrics.
  • Direct interaction with customers to promote products and brand.
  • Maintain a monthly / quarterly expense budget and ensures territory is operating within budget.
  • Travel as required within territory.

What will convince us :

  • You have completed a Bachelor's degree in life sciences with relevant capital equipment sales experience in biotechnology or technical equipment scientific sales.
  • You possess 3+ years' experience of sales / business development in the Life Sciences sector; or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience (value-based selling skills a plus).
  • Experience in Funnel Management, Forecasting & prospecting (experience with Salesforce, Tableau, LinkedIn Navigator, ZOOM info a plus).
  • Good teamwork skills- ability to work with cross functional sales teams.
  • You possess 2+ years' experience in negotiating pricing and terms (formal sales training SPIN, Miller Heiman / Blue sheet training a plus).

Compensation for this position will be a base salary between $90,000.00 and $130,000.00 depending upon experience and qualifications.

Commissions for this position generally range up to 30% of a candidate's base salary.
