We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Installation Technician to join our team! As an Installation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient installation and maintenance of our high-fidelity simulation platforms.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technology and has a strong attention to detail.
This is a position that requires availability / willingness to travel frequently*
Responsibilities :
- Assist with the installation of simulator equipment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on simulator components to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with simulator equipment, working collaboratively with other team members as needed
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, usage, and maintenance activities
- Provide technical support and guidance to users as needed
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and implement customized training programs for clients
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our simulators' capabilities and limitations
- Identify opportunities to improve installation and maintenance processes, proposing solutions as needed
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electronic equipment or machinery is highly desirable
- Familiarity with computer systems, software applications, and networking technologies is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights (e.g., ladders) is required
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and multitask is crucial
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college or technical training in a related field (e.g., electronics, mechanics) is preferred
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working with fleet vehicles or simulation platforms is advantageous
- Knowledge of transmission systems, clutching, and gear shifting is a plus
- Familiarity with AWS Student-Driver Profile Tracking technology is desirable
- Certification in electrical, mechanical, or computer-aided design (CAD) software is preferred
