Join our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a Program Quality Supervisor ! We are looking for an experienced and engaging leader who can help drive Quality initiatives and promote team development.
The successful candidate should have a strong background in quality, as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for independently supervising a team of manufacturing quality inspectors across two shifts.
- Assist in managing budget and schedule for team assignments.
- Coordinate inspection activities to ensure production needs are met.
- Ensure inspection plans are carried out in accordance with customer and military specifications and expectations.
- Promote innovative use of quality tools and champion proactive quality improvement techniques.
- Assist in developing methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Identify and drive procurement of efficient and effective inspection equipment.
- Establish quality control programs to resolve systematic and incidental quality issues.
- Review quality control program plans and inspection plans.
- Develop recommendations for improvements in manufacturability, product uniformity and reliability.
- Develop and lead quality initiatives.
- Participate in quality audits.
- Lead or participate in meetings with integrated teams.
- Participate in corrective action and root cause analysis activities.
- Participate in new product development activities.
- Work closely with Program Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Operations; providing strategic and tactical support.
- Participate in special projects, kaizen events, and perform other related work as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of quality and process improvement.
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or related technical field, or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Experience working with DCMA and MIL-STD.
- Experience supervising large teams; familiarity with a union environment is highly preferred.
- Proficient technical expertise and application domain knowledge.
- Proficient with ISO Standards, Six Sigma, and statistical processing tools.
- Must be able to read and accurately interpret electrical, mechanical and assembly drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication and writing skills.
- Ability to define problems and drive to root cause and effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Candidates must be US citizens (no dual citizenship) and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
