Performing computer functions including order entry, result entry, inquiries and worksheet and / or report maintenance.Performing waived moderately and highly complex tests under direction of supervisor, as permitted by regulatory standards.
Performing daily QC and routine troubleshooting and maintenance of lab instruments and prepares reagents as necessary.Providing timely and courteous customer service for provider calling into the lab.
Maintaining workplace in a neat and orderly fashion and maintains supply inventory to keep work area adequately stocked.Training new technicians and / or processing staff and interns from academic programs.
Participating in departmental continuous improvement programs as necessary.To qualify, you must have : A n Associate degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and one-year of experience in a Medical Lab Technician I position .
T he analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
T he ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions. Incumbents must respond appropriately to instructions, questions or requests for information.
