Summary
Performs a variety of complex accounting and / or budget functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs financial / accounting services primarily supporting one of the CFO functional areas (Disbursements, General Accounting, Budgets & Rates, or Financial Planning & Analysis).
- Processes accounting documents or assembles forecast data from various sources in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepares working papers required to record accounting and / or budget activities.
- Accumulates and analyzes accounting charges or forecast data and develops budget forecasts.
- Compiles data for periodic accounting and / or budget reports for distribution and determination of cost variances.
- Analyzes data to identify recurring problems.
- Analyzes and interprets accounting and / or budget data and presents conclusions to management.
- Assists in the development of detailed procedures and work instructions in the accounting and / or budget area.
- Effectively interfaces and builds strong relationships with internal customers.
You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree or 2 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business.
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
