Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities :
Substitute meets students at 8 : 05 in the gym for morning assembly, then accompanies students to their classroom.
Substitute follows lesson plans left by absent teacher.
Substitute covers lunch duty, recess duty, or dismissal duty of absent teacher.
Substitute accompanies students to dismissal locations : after school bus pick up, after school program, school yard dismissal.
Substitute makes notes on lesson plan as to what was covered or not, indicates concepts that students found difficult so upon the teacher's return, instruction can pick up where the substitute left off.
Substitute administers tests or quizzes if they were scheduled by the absent teacher.
Dismissal is between 2 : 15 and 2 : 30p.m.
Schedule is part time, as needed.
Salary is based on degree.
For a Bachelor's degree salary is $135 a day, for a Master's degree salary is $160 a day.
