• We are hiring immediately for a CAFE MANAGER position.
• Location : ByteDance Cafe, 1199 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110. Note : online applications accepted only.
• Schedule : Full Time; Monday through Friday. No weekends.
• Details : The Café Manager will focus on innovative hospitality and creating the café and catering experience to support operational excellence.

This position reports to the General Manager and will leverage their strong hospitality and operational skills to oversees the daily administrative and operational tasks.

Conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs while maintaining excellent relationships with employees, guests and the client as well as other departments within the operation.

Promote the professional growth and development of the entire team. Hold duties related to sales / marketing, administration, and coordination for on-premise catering events.

• Requirement : Must have food service / catering management experience. The position entails a need for excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to multi-task.
• Reports to : General Manager
• Salary : $80,000- 83,000
• Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available

Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for the supervision of the food service operation, ensuring the standards of excellence are met.

They will supervise associates and support financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Hires, supervises, trains, and coaches associates.
• Plans, markets and executes special events / promotions in the cafe
• Ensures compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards
• Operates within the budget and identifies new ways to improve the business
• Manages cafe operations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and / or related food service operations
• Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet
• ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred
