Balance Health is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team at our San Pedro and Torrance office under the Precision Foot and Ankle brand.
Precision Foot and Ankle has multiple locations in the Los Angeles Metro area, providing exceptional care to informed patients of all ages.
The practice has experienced podiatrists who listen and respond to patients, treating each one as a unique individual deserving of first-rate, personalized care.
The Precision Foot and Ankle podiatrists prevent, identify, and treat diabetic foot problems with outstanding success to allow our patients to lead active, healthy lives.
Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.
- Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
- Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
- Perform wound care management
- Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
- Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
- Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
- Provide education / consultation to patients, family, and health care team
- Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
- Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements
- Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
- Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
- Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
Education and Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
- Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
- Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting / and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit and stand for up to several hours at a time
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information.
