Job Function :
The job of the Stäubli Customer Quality Engineer will act as a liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring customer requirements and satisfaction are met in full and on time.

Reports to :
Manager- Quality, Operational Excellence and PMO
Responsibilities and Objectives :
- Oversee and manage the RMA process serving as the communication and monitoring lead between departments and initiate non-conformance process if applicable
- Investigate, respond and report on recalls, failures and product returns
- Conduct root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions and serve as liaison for customers and departments for manufacturing and internally supplied product issues
- Develop and maintain a closed-loop feedback system with the customer to ensure findings turn into actions and product improvements
- Support ongoing investigations working with domestic and international teams to ensure cross-company compliance
- Support verification of product and supplier qualification
- Process service requests for internal company suppliers
- Lead the implementation of the APQP process, coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality departments
- Act as the primary customer contact for quality
- Maintain documentation related to product compliance, such as certificates of compliance, First Article Inspections, test reports, and compliance checklists
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Monitor, inform, and communicate the performance of quality activities using statistical and analytical tools
- Assist in the implementation and sustainability of training to build quality, safety and compliance awareness within the organization
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation
- All other related duties as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality or Continuous Improvement, automotive or automotive supplier manufacturing environment preferred
- Product Safety and Conformity Representative (PSCR) Certification or ability to certify
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
- Experience with ISO 9001 and / or IATF 16949
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other Continuous Improvement knowledge required
- Ability to manage multiple project concurrently and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work directly with customers and understand their requirements and concerns
- Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office and quality management software
- ERP system knowledge required, SAP preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to meet with customers or suppliers to resolve quality issues
Work schedule :
Work will be onsite at our facility in Duncan, SC : Involving office settings and manufacturing environments. 10-20% domestic and international travel to customer sites and supplier locations.
