Position Title : Accounts Payable Specialist Job Summary : The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's payable accounts efficiently and accurately.
This role involves processing invoices, maintaining vendor records, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
The Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with other departments to verify and approve invoices, resolve payment issues, and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities : Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and vendor information.Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries and issues.
Review and verify expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.Prepare and process electronic payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reconciliations.Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to accounts payable processes.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Previous experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
