Position Summary :
The Inventory Manager at M&M Quality Grinding Inc. is responsible for overseeing the entire raw material inventory process.
This role involves efficiently managing the supply of raw materials, issuing materials to various jobs, allocating the material effectively, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Global Shop Support (GSS).
The Inventory Manager will play a crucial role in monitoring incoming materials, and conducting thorough inspections to ensure the dimensions of the material are correct with the customer's order and the quality standards are met.
Job Requirements :
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or grinding industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with GSS or similar inventory management systems.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Supervise the locating and storage of raw materials required for grinding.
- Issue materials to specific jobs according to production schedules.
- Allocate materials efficiently, considering job requirements and production priorities.
- Coordinate with Production Team to ensure seamless material flow.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Global Supply System (GSS).
- Regularly reconcile physical inventory with system records to identify and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Generate reports and analyze data to provide insights into inventory trends and performance.
- Oversee the inspection process for all incoming materials to ensure compliance with quality standards, and customer or M&M Quality Purchase Order.
- Communicate with Production Manager and Production Team to address any issues related to the quality of incoming materials.
- Work closely with the entire Team to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk, stand, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts.
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.
The employee must be able speak and understand English.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds or more with appropriate assistance.
Must be able to be on feet (not sitting) up to 95% of the time.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.
