DESCRIPTION
This position is open to anywhere in the United States , however, you will work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).
The Senior Business Intelligence Specialist supports the Analytical Services and Category Management enterprise teams within Acosta.
This can include the areas of data reporting / scorecard management and / or space management and section merchandising.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions :
Under minimal supervision, manages the extract of data (syndicated, panel, and others) that is incorporated into reporting tools and templates or provides space management / section merchandising support on assigned categories at assigned customers.
Also, will provide analysis, draw conclusions, and determine recommendations in support of client objectives. Will work closely with other analytical or space tech leads in the development and maintenance of various category management or space technology tools and deliverables.
Work as integral part of account team assisting Business Managers with category or space management related issues involved in developing category reviews.
Maintain and update all assigned reports / tools / plan-o-grams for assigned categories and / or sections for assigned customers and ensure the product is accessible to Acosta team members and / or clients, where permitted.
Oversees accuracy of end results that may require analysing data for completeness, format and conformity dealing independently and directly with syndicated data companies and IT or other vendor sources.
Assist in training and orientation of internal and external clients in the use of analytical and / or space management tools.
Develop required level of expertise for assigned categories.
Other duties and assignments as outlined by Acosta's Analytical Services / Category Management / Space Management team leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS
Work and Experience Requirements High School diploma or equivalent in industry name required 1 year related work experience preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to demonstrate an advanced degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Excel, PowerPoint, VB, advanced macros.
Knowledge of Power BI would be a strong asset.
- Experience with syndicated data and / or space management tools would be an asset.
- Identifies and leverages relevant data to diagnose situations and identify potential solutions
- Demonstrates ability to effectively and independently conduct data mining utilizing CPG math concepts and tools.
