Position Description :
- Manage and coordinate office engineering activities for construction projects
- Assist in the review and analysis of project plans, specifications, and contracts
- Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and consultants
- Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and RFIs
- Coordinate and track project submittals, approvals, and transmittals
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status
- Resolve project issues, conflicts, and discrepancies
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Eight (8) years full time paid professional experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in project or construction management of commercial and / or public or educational facility construction projects with values in excess of $15M
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and standards
- Understanding of project scheduling and cost control
Preferred Experience :
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and / or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction / design process
