This role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with CNC machining, specifically with HAAS VF1 and VF2 machines.
The ideal candidate is a versatile machinist proficient in both vertical mill and manual lathe operations, as well as plasma cutting.
This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment, has a strong understanding of G-code (M-code knowledge is a plus), and is capable of training and mentoring junior machinists.
Key Responsibilities : Program, set up, and operate HAAS VF1 and VF2 machines for short custom runs. Quickly adapt to using vertical mills, manual lathes, and plasma cutters.
Maintain tight tolerances, working with various metals including 17-4 steels, 836 steel, 6061 aluminum, and 304 steel. Set up, operate and program 3 & 5 axis lathes and mills (primarily 5-axis mills).
Train and mentor new machinists in machine setups and operations. Ensure quality and efficiency in all machining processes.
Qualifications : Minimum 5 years of experience in programming / setting up 5-Axis Haas machines. Extensive experience with HAAS VF1 and VF2 machines.
Proficiency in G-code and familiarity with HAAS controls (M-code is a plus). Strong ability to work with various materials, primarily metals.
Experience in training and mentoring machinists. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Reverse engineer parts brought in by customers without blueprints GD & TWhy Join Us?
