REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN Summary

To deliver more than is expected by repairing and completing the maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in our stores to the best of my ability.

REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN : What I Do, How I Do It, and Why I do it

As Refrigeration Tech, this is what I do :

Basic Procedures Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of environmental control systems.

This includes preventative maintenance tasks ranging from changing air filters to performing preventative maintenance on large air handling units.

Installs replacement motors, electronics, compressors, thermostats, humidistats and fans. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with mechanical and electrical.

Utilizes measuring instruments such as multimeters and refrigeration gauges. Maintains records and prepares reports on repairs and services according to Harps and regulatory requirements.

Adaptability I am able to adjust myself readily to different conditions. I demonstrate flexibility in the workplace and remain comfortable with change and transition.

Coaching / Mentoring I am a people builder by bringing out the best in people. I recognize and try to unleash the full potential of others by providing the needed resources, coaching, experiences, and other support.

I provide others the opportunity to take risks and learn from their mistakes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Three years of experience as an HVACR technician. Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Current Class C Operator Driver's License valid (required).
• Applicants will be reviewed online by the hiring department.
• Adaptable to different situations and the ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise and supplies weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Frequently reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, crouching and twisting with or without bearing weight.
• Frequent repetitive motion with hand(s) and arm(s), such as grasping, gripping and turning.
• Visually locates merchandise and other objects, at near and / or far distances, as well as verified information, often in small print.
• May be exposed to cleaning solvents or other chemicals.
• Employment at Harps may be contingent upon completion and our evaluation of a PEP survey, drug screen, employment reference check, criminal background check and credit check.
