Summary

The Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Palliative Care of the Medical University of South Carolina, located in historic Charleston South Carolina, is seeking Geriatrician clinician educators for tenure-track appointment at the assistant or associate professor level.

Successful candidates will be BC / BE in Geriatrics and eligible for medical licensure in South Carolina.

Job Description

MD or MD / PhD board certified (or board eligible) in General Internal Medicine.

This is a clinical, 1.0 FTE faculty position. Primary responsibilities will include clinical care and teaching in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Education and training of fellows, residents, and medical students is a priority. A commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration, high quality patient care, and outstanding communication skills are essential.

Faculty appointment / rank / salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. On call responsibilities commensurate with usual Division on call responsibilities.

Overall cFTE and related clinical work may be offset proportionally by any additional funded effort for teaching or other leadership roles or grants that cover your salary.
