About the Job

The Store Operations Training Specialist will be responsible for the implementation and tracking of store-based training.

This individual will work with a training platform and will create and maintain a training schedule and calendar to deliver training programs that meet business needs.

This is a hybrid role based in Houston, Texas and will report to the Director of Customer Experience & Store Operations Training.

What You’ll Do Key Accountabilities

  • Create timelines and schedules for the roll out of all store training. Assign tasks to cross-functional peers and follow through on project completion by the assigned deadline.
  • Coordinate training submissions requests for prioritization, approval and scheduling while tracking any changes or updates to that schedule.
  • Partner with Store Communications to create the messaging for all current and future training initiatives.
  • Assign review and track store training programs via our internal training platform, ensuring compliance and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Evaluate training strategy and inform the Director when training timelines are off-track or delayed.
  • Provide reporting and feedback on training opportunities and operational inefficiencies.
  • Manage the store training delivery platform, by communicating with the vendor when changes or updates are needed.
  • Implement and evaluate store training programs that align with the company's strategic objectives and promote continuous professional development among employees.
  • Create evaluation methods for assessment and feedback to establish effectiveness of learning and development solutions and determine knowledge gaps, using the information to support the development and delivery of store training.
  • Utilize training platform data and reporting to track and assess employee progress while engaging.
  • Lead and support other individual and team projects and initiatives as needed.

What You’ll Bring Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Business, Communications, Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of training implementation experience, preferably in the retail industry, required.
  • Ability to measure learning outcomes and business results.
  • Uses data and insights to craft meaningful and professional executive-level communications.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills; Leads by example; Enjoys working with others in a collaborative, social environment; Effective at building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing environments.
  • Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to successfully drive initiatives in a matrix environment and work with all levels of the organization.
  • Possesses superior verbal and written communication skills and excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from Houston Texas

o Hybrid working-model up to 3-days a week at the Home Office
