Buyer II

Locations : This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of an Open Access Elevance Health Pulse Point locations.

The Buyer II will be responsible for participating in decision making with management in the area of purchasing and responsible for supporting Purchasing / Procurement.

National Government Services is a proud member of Elevance Health Companies, Inc. family of brands. We administer government contracts for Medicare and partner with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to transform federal health program.

How you will make an impact :

Responsible for buying assignments and / or management of commodities and vendor performance.

Identifies and implements strategies for cost savings through negotiation, process improvement, item substitution, etc.

Identifies market trends pertaining to commodities being managed and sourced.

Develops and manages relationships with vendors and internal customers.

Manages vendor performance.

Prepares reports and analyses around commodities managed.

Minimum Requirements :

Requires a BA / BS; 3 years of experience in procurement, finance, or analysis; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants to meet the residency requirement of living in the United States for at least three of the past five years.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences :

Additional education or professional certification preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $61,760 to $111,168.
