Maintenance Parts & Materials Coordinator
Job Summary :
Responsible for maintaining maintenance and production departments with an organized inventory for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) along with purchasing materials, parts, and supplies in a manner that increases profitability and efficiency.
Essential roles and responsibilities :
These responsibilities are for one plant only, but when someone is on vacation another plant can request help for that time.
1. Maintenance of maintenance parts inventory, including routine cycle counts, monthly asset / inventory value summary, and periodic physical inventory audits.
2. Purchase of maintenance parts inventory and development of purchasing strategy to compare suppliers and reduce budget.
3. Review and manage parts / materials inventory levels to evaluate inventory and improve its effectiveness and efficiency;
maintain proper inventory levels and identify obsolete items.
4. Maintain part / material specifications and ensure compliance with food defense and product safety regulations; Plan for conversion to food-grade items when possible.
5. Standardize stock items with maximum / minimum / requirement reorder points within the system.
6. Verify the items received regarding the order; deliver them to the department's stockroom notifying the appropriate party of the arrival of the items and discuss the requirements for stock-keeping items with Accounts Payable;
This includes confirming the accuracy of the delivery in terms of quantity, price, and complete packing lists.
7. Where necessary, in accordance with food defense and product safety regulations or communication with suppliers in relation to orders, prices, problems with orders, rejected materials and returns, etc.
8. Keep supplier prices up to date in inventory / maintenance software (such as QAD).
9. Seek and evaluate new / current concepts and technologies to improve Procurement and Inventory methods to keep parts in stock.
10. Report and Reduce Monthly Maintenance Department Expenses, Increase Efficiency, and Reduce Downtime.
11. Maintain a history of purchases, including all documents necessary to have good tracking of purchases from the department

12. Traceability of maintenance parts, materials, inventory, costs
13. Reduced average maintenance parts / materials costs
14. Comparison of costs per item and potential for cost reduction.
Hours : 8am-4pm Monday -Friday
Pay : 23 / hr
