The Arlington of Naples is recruiting a full-time hospitality focused RN to join our team! The ADON provides supervision of staff and directs resident cares, maintains staffing in accordance to state and federal regulations and established staffing patterns, and ensures that all clinical programs and policies are followed.
The ADON is responsible for nursing Staff Development and Infection Control. The Assistant Director of Nursing serves as the Director of Nursing in their absence.
Salary starting at $85,000
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a ADON :
- Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Administers direct care as necessary.
- Gives and receives shift reports to the team on new admissions, change in conditions, events, grievances, etc.
- Reviews pending discharge and ensures all components are complete.
- Reviews Daily appointments and assures facility communication and transfer forms are complete.
- Reviews and reconciles daily lab testing, ensures labs were drawn, results are received, and results are provided to providers.
- Audits daily documentation requirements and routine assessments.
- Assists the scheduler in daily staffing and or replacement staffing for call outs.
- Reviews all new admissions and audits for compliance with state and federal regulations as well as facility established protocols
- Completion of assessments and assessment schedules
- Completion of a individualized and comprehensive care plan
- Rounds hourly to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
- Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition and or delegates to the charge nurse.
- Assists in updating comprehensive care plans related to changes to routine care being provided.
- Attends risk meetings.
- Resident review includes weight loss, wounds, infections, pain, behaviors, new admissions, acute change in condition, recent events such as falls, skin tears, etc
- Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
- Serves as member of the On-Call rotation.
- Functions in the capacity of DON in his / her absence.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have :
- Current Registered Nursing license valid in state of Florida and current CPR
- Willingness to be available for any / all emergencies regarding the community
- Geriatric / rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing. Supervisory experience preferred.
