Location : We are seeking an experienced HR - Recruiter for the New Orleans Convention Center located in New Orleans, LA.

The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is located in Downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. The lower end of building one is located 1,640 feet upriver from Canal Street on the banks of the Mississippi River.

It is named after former Mayor of New Orleans Ernest Nathan Morial. With 1.1 million square feet of prime, contiguous exhibit space, the award winning New Orleans Ernest N.

Morial Convention Center is the sixth largest convention facility in the nation, and it consistently ranks in the country's top ten of facilities that hold the most conventions and tradeshows annually.

The Convention Center has been voted a Top Work Place in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022!!

Principal Function :

• Collaborate with unit managers on a regular basis and proactively identify current and future hiring needs
• Post, source and prescreen candidates; hourly and salaried positions
• Assist in the design and implementation of the overall recruiting strategy
• Attract candidates using various sources, including social media networks and employee referrals
• Build a solid talent pipeline; identifying current and future qualifying candidates
• Assist in onboarding new employees in order to become fully integrated
• Develop, manage and drive metrics, dashboards and recruiting reports
• Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
• Promote company's reputation as "best place to work"

Essential Responsibilities :

• Work Collaboratively with unit leadership and human resources leadership to understand their objectives while offering and demonstrating digestible insights and strategies
• Prepare and present fact-based insights, presentations and recommendations to drive value-added and successful action strategies with respect to talent acquisition
• Support the design and continued development of The Brand; ensuring that we provide our Operational Leaders and our Client with the top talent and our Guest with the Best Experience
• Collaborate cross functionally with unit leaders and human resources leaders to implement best hiring practices and onboarding processes
• Willingness to work in an event-based business that may require non-traditional working hours

Qualifications / Skills :

• Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years full-time work experience in full cycle recruiting preferred
• Hands on experience with various selection processes
• High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint a plus
• Position demands good interpersonal skills (verbal and written), using sound judgement, being a quick learner, and the ability to adapt and pivot to new situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, exercise independent judgment, work on own initiative and on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Top Notch professionalism and confidentiality is a must
• Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Strong decision-making skills

Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
