El Centro Family Health is seeking two full-time Pharmacy Assistants dedicated to serving the needs of our community.

Compensation : $16.50 to $21.69 hourly, commensurate with education and experience for non-certified Pharmacy assistants.

Certified Pharmacy Assistants earn an additional $1.00 per hour.

Ideal candidate should possess the following qualities :

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willing to travel to outlying clinics as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general pharmacy procedures and protocols.
  • Knowledge and fluent skill of Microsoft Office Excel and Word applications, internet explorer usage.

Responsibilities

Under the direction and supervision of the Pharmacist or Nurse Director, the Pharmacy Assistant I maintain clinic drug room in compliance with NM State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

The Pharmacy Assistant has access to personal data regarding individual patients and / or their families; an essential job result is the maintenance of a high level of confidentiality of the information processed by the employee.

Minimum requirements

Education : High school diploma or GED.

Experience : Min. 2 years in pharmacy or medical setting.

Certification : Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must be obtained within 3 months of hire).

Preferred Requirements

Certification : Certified Pharmacy Technician

Bilingual - (Spanish / English).
