General Description Of Job

This role will be the SME on instrumentation for CP USA and will be responsible for reviewing specifications & contract drawings to select appropriate instrumentation and accessories to fit project applications. Creating datasheets, calibration reports, assembly, installation, testing & certifying installation per contract specifications & creating any final reports needed for O&M. The pay for this job is dependent on experience (DOE).

Duties

• Act as the subject matter expert for external and internal clients on instrumentation selection and analysis.
• Lead and prepare instrumentation engineering / design deliverables, including Instrument Index, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Installation Details, Instrument Location Plans, reviewing Wiring Diagrams, and Loop Diagrams.
• Interpret and check varied instrumentation and engineering diagrams, vendor supplied drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Review submittals, any relevant documents, testing results and applicable drawings or specifications.
• Performs calibration & documentation of purchased equipment prior to commissioning and provide start-up support.
• Apply knowledge of commonly used I&C engineering / design concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures within the engineering services industry.
• Work with purchasing managing vendor relationships, attaining vendor quotes and best pricing.
