The City of Leawood is seeking a motivated individual with experience in organizing a variety of events to join the Recreation team as the Recreation Rental & Event Coordinator.

Recreation Rental & Event Coordinator

As the Recreation Rental & Event Coordinator in the Parks, Recreation & Arts Department, you will serve as a key liaison for the public when hosting an event at one of the City’s facilities.  You will coordinate rental space for a wide range of events such as a bride and groom’s special day, family reunions, and meetings. You will need to have creativity with planning events as well as finding new and engaging ways to utilize the City’s rental spaces.

• Experience in providing event coordination and helping clients plan memorable events.

Your work responsibilities may include :

Minimum Requirements :   Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration, Leisure Management or related field. Must have at least two (2) years of experience in the field of Recreation and Facility Operations, Event Coordination, or equivalent experience.  Must have a minimum of one (1) year of supervisor or lead experience.

Starting Rate of Pay : $52,092 - $60,000 / annually, DOQ

Employees also receive a Time-in-Service Bonus equal to 5% of their annual salary every three years of employment on their anniversary date.
