Sr. Content Designer.

Content designers make Vimeo easier to use by making it easier to understand.

As a Senior Content Designer, youll lead content design for a handful of our product teams. Youll help drive the vision for their content & partner with your teammates to conceive, design, & build better experiences.

Youll use language to help customers get things done. Youll design information for the way their brains consume it. Youll organize content for discovery & findability, & youll create systems for categorizing & relating things.

Youll make our experiences more accessible & inclusive, name & label features so people understand what theyre getting, & maintain standards that keep Vimeo consistent.

Youll report to the Director of Content Design. Besides using language to solve big UX problems, youll also promote best practices, foster understanding among your colleagues, & advocate for better content design across Vimeo.

Youll share what you know with other content designers & contribute to the growth of our human-centered content design practice.

What you'll do :

• Lead content design for your product teams. Become an expert in their features, functionality, & business objectives & an authority on their customers & content.
• Know your customers. Conduct content discovery, including inventories, audits, & competitive research. Collaborate on card sorts, user surveys, interviews, & workshops.
• Help define a shared vision. Work with your product teams to align customer needs with business objectives & plan new products, features, & enhancements that achieve both.
• Co-own the design process. Pair up with product designers from requirements to release, creating & iterating on design concepts, user flows, prototypes, components, & patterns.
• Write useful, usable, & inclusive interface content. Craft clear, accessible copy for dialogs, empty states, alerts, tooltips, help text, navigation labels, onboarding, & more.
• Test, evaluate, & improve your content. Use analytics, customer success data, & methods like A / B testing, readability testing, usability testing, & navigation model testing.
• Build collaborative, trusting relationships. Champion good content design while bringing together product managers, designers, engineers, & marketers around shared priorities.
• Level up the content design craft at Vimeo. Create, contribute to, & evolve our standards, guidelines, methods, tools, tutorials, presentations, & review sessions.

Skills & knowledge you should possess :

• 4+ years of experience creating UX content for software as a service (Saas) products
• Excellent writing skills, with a strong understanding of English grammar & mechanics
• Familiarity with principles of information architecture, content modeling, & taxonomy
• Experience complying with & contributing to brand voice & tone standards
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of accessibility & inclusion in your content
• An understanding of how content design drives business growth
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Working knowledge of design methods & tools, including Figma
• Samples of your work & process, from writing & designing to research & documentation

Targeted Base Salary Range : $105,300 to $160,500

The base salary range listed above is for candidates located in the U.S., including the New York City metro area.
