Basic Purpose and Objective :
Under general supervision, and according to establish policies and procedures, moves, and loads raw materials, finished goods, and components.
Empties bins, boxes, and hoppers. Visually inspects parts and notifies the Supervisor / Process Tech of quality or machine problems.
Maintains cleanliness of the department.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities :
- Operates fork-lift truck to handle material.
- Schedules time to ensure proper materials at the assigned machines.
- Handles and distinguishes between different materials, part numbers and component part numbers.
- Follows written and verbal instructions.
- Sweeps and mops floors, empties scrap and catch pans, and cleans machines and support equipment.
- Changes materials and performs blowouts following any mold changes.
- Visually inspects parts prior to dumping catch pans and bins.
- Provides building janitorial support activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Required :
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Experience Required :
- Ability to read and write to complete material requisitions and load traceability and other job data.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions when receiving assignments.
