Requirements
Summary of essential job functions
- This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current manager :
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
- Develop and maintain filing system.
- Keep track of office supplies that need ordering and research new deals and suppliers
- Reply to email, telephone or face to face enquiries
- Collect paperwork and other required documents for Safety and Human Resources
- Complete DOT Physical, Drug and Alcohol request for service paperwork
- Coordinating travel arrangements : flights, hotels, and rental cars
- Setting up new employees for online training Updating Safety / OSHA / Policy expiration fields in TMW
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations and ensures company compliance.
- Assist in the compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety and DOT regulations regarding Hours of Service
- Assist the Dispatcher, Terminal, and Regional Manager in any and all tasks
- Assist Training Department with any and all tasks
- Support and cross train with other members of operations staff
- Any and all other duties assigned

Minimum requirements
- Familiarity of regulations pertaining to DOT and FMCSA Hours of Service a plus
- Safety work experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of the transportation industry preferred.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Superior interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, interact tactfully and practice flexibility
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Strong problem solving, organizational, time management and analytical skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Excel including pivot tables, graphs and data analysis
- Proficient in full suite of Microsoft Office products Special Position requirements Periodic travel may be required
