- Installation and wiring of routers / switches and other network equipment.
- Collaboration with multiple groups for configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of network devices.
- Effectively identify and utilizes the proper resources, drawings, and engineering documents to efficiently complete projects.
- Prioritize and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
3+ years demonstrated experience in the following.
- Working knowledge of data circuits (T1, MPLS, Ethernet), fiber terminations, LAN / WAN cabling
- Functional understanding and the ability to wire and test 48 and 135v DC, 120v AC, rectifiers, along with associated grounding requirements.
- Skilled in the use of fiber optic test equipment, LAN / WAN copper and fiber test sets,
- Skilled in the termination and troubleshooting of various cabling types and familiarity with color coding requirements for cabling identification, wire wrapping, Cat 5 / 6 cabling.
- Must be safety and environmentally conscious as well as detailed oriented.
- Physical Ability : Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Must be able to see color and distinguish between colors.
