Financial Services Representative Opportunity - Intake
This is a full time position, working hours per week.

Responsibilities
Assist Intake Coordinators with verification of insurance coverage (eligibility and benefits) for Inpatient, PHP and ECT admissions for intake coordinators in timely manner
Knowledgeable about insurance requirements and correctly distinguishes among payers
Maintain knowledge of contracted and non-contracted managed care organizations, including authorization requirements and how to access needed information on eligibility and benefits
Ensure call sheets and insurance printouts are sent to the Business Office ensuring accuracy following established protocols
Ensure complete and appropriate documentation
Function as an Intake Coordinator during assigned hours each working shift as determined by Intake Director.

Requirements
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or another human services related field strongly preferred (3 years prior hospital intake call center experience + High School Diploma may be substituted for a bachelor's degree)
- Skills : Ability to multitask and work in a very fast paced environment
- Preferred Experience : (1 of 3 below is preferred)Preferred prior intake call center experience and / or insurance verification experiencePreferred prior work in a business office / financial setting in a health care environment including managed care company or insurance companyPreferred prior experience in admissions / business office in MD Office, ED or other health care setting, health care billing, or other position that includes knowledge about appropriate collection of demographic and financial data, insurance eligibility and verification
