Job Description : Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Accounts Payable Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the processing of accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in our financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in processing AP invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and verify accuracy of billing details.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Concur, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
